There are a few ways to get to Glenorchy and Kinloch including buses, boat rides, and of course, your own car. Here’s how:
Glenorchy is a 48 kilometre scenic drive from Queenstown, allow 45 minutes driving time. Kinloch is a further 26 kilometres. The road is sealed for the 17kms to the Dart Bridge, the last 9 kms is unsealed though well graded for a normal car or van. Click here for information about things to do on the drive up.
If you are travelling with your own vehicle we do recommend that you using it so that you get the most out of your visit to our gorgeous location. Before renting a vehicle, do check there is insurance cover to drive on unsealed roads. If you have any difficulty, contact us and we can suggest local rental companies.
