As most of you will be aware, once all regional DHBs reach their target of 90% fully vaccinated, as a hospitality business, we will be required to operate under a vaccination certificate environment, as mandated by the New Zealand Government.
This mandate covers guests using any of our accommodation, restaurant, track transport, kayak trips and our shop/cafe in Glenorchy, The Trading Post.
We would love to serve all of New Zealand, however we are following guidelines in support of the government’s efforts during this pandemic.
We will always follow best practice as more information and guidance is provided; all our staff, in both Kinloch and Glenorchy, are fully vaccinated.
If the choice is to close down or stay open in a limited capacity, we choose to stay open, with far more certainty going forwards for our guests and our team. We think Kinloch and Glenorchy are exactly where people need to come and relax and connect with nature.
You are likely already aware that our site is a close contact environment with shared facilities, so adhering to guidelines allows us to better protect everyone.
If, for whatever reason, you do not meet the government requirements for vaccination by the date of your booking, we will be unable to welcome you at Kinloch. If the government in the future allows us to accept unvaccinated people with antigen testing we will of course be happy to welcome you.
We thank you for your understanding during these challenging times.
