Our staff work across all areas of the business, with day-to-day duties depending on the season, the number and mix of in-house guests and ongoing projects :-
We will try our best to match your skills to the work available and are always happy to train up those keen and quick to learn.
Training, task descriptions and procedures will be provided to ensure that you can meet performance standards and time expectations.
About you
Due to our location we need resilient staff who enjoy an outdoors setting. It’s important to us that the team consists of the right people so that everyone has a great time at Kinloch. We are looking for people who are:
Cooks, 1 permanent, 1 seasonal (Oct-May)
30-40 hours per week
From $26/hr
We are looking for 1 long-term breakfast – lunch cook (evening shifts may be needed) and 1 seasonal cook to help cover the busier times.
Supervisors – 1 FOH, 1 housekeeping
30-40 hours per week
From $28/hr
We are looking to invest in long-term permanent staff who’d like to put down roots and commit to ensuring excellence here at Kinloch. Minimum 2 years hospitality experience required. At least 1 month off at the start of winter.
Kayak Guide & Driver (Oct-May)
30-40 hours per week
From $26/hr
We offer 1hr and 2hr kayak trips during warmer months and are looking for a qualified guide to show guests this stunning area. This role also includes driving guests to the tracks so a P class licence is essential. Other tasks will include site maintenance when no trips or transport are booked.
General Staff (Oct-April)
30-40 hours per week
From $26/hr
At least 6 months experience required. In addition to the regular work, we have a yurt where any staff who are trained in practices such as yoga can offer classes.
Casual Staff (year round)
Ideal for those looking for a short term change of scene or a stunning wilderness base for exploring the great outdoors.
$23.15/hr
We offer 15 hours a week to exchange for the costs of your on site accommodation, effectively a help exchange deal. There may be more hours for the right people who work at a good pace, to a good standard and independently.
For work that requires training, e.g. housekeeping, we ask for a minimum of 3 weeks commitment, but we have sometimes have manual work for those looking for a shorter stay.
All staff must have the ability to work legally in New Zealand, with a valid bank account and IRD number. We require all our staff to speak English fluently. It is preferable if you have a valid drivers license.
