General Staff
30-40 hours per week
$23- $26 per hour, depending on ability and experience
The General Staff role includes working across the following areas in our small family run business, with varied day-to-day duties depending on the season, the number and mix of in-house guests and ongoing project work :-
Housekeeping: room makeovers, processing laundry, cleaning of communal areas, walkways, garden furniture etc.
Restaurant: food preparation, breakfast cooking, bar/barrista, table service.
Helping in retreat activities, setting up for meetings, yoga sessions.
Garden and grounds maintenance, spa pool cleaning, painting and decorating.
Assisting at the Glenorchy Lake House and Trading Post – our small B&B and shop.
6 months experience in one or more of the above in a hospitality/visitor accommodation or retreat environment is essential. Training will also be provided to enable you to become a good all-round performer and we have task descriptions and procedures in place to underpin this.
About you:
Passionate about making something very special, a passion for people, food and nature.
Ability to thrive in both busy and quiet environments.
Ability to safely lift heavy loads – up to 20kg.
Reliable, self-aware, attention to detail, adaptable.
Great interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and supervise others.
Able to legally drive a motor vehicle in NZ.
Casual Staff
Ideal for those looking for a short term change of scene or a stunning wilderness base for exploring the great outdoors.
$22.90 per hour, including holiday pay
We offer from 2 hours work a day.
For work that requires training, e.g. housekeeping, we ask for a minimum of 3 weeks commitment.

All staff must have the ability to work legally in New Zealand, with a valid bank account and IRD number. We require all our staff to speak English fluently.
On site accommodation is in the cozy 4 bedroom staff house, with great lake and mountain views. You’ll have your own room, unlimited high speed wifi, free laundry, access to a TV room with over 200 DVDs and a fully equipped kitchen.
